You mention “try to”… try to stay focus on one point at a to time…. As a coach i have used ever cliche there is, the issue is how to do it. How do you teach a player to focus on one point at a time? you can tell them until youre blue in the face but until they own the skill its just not happening. so any techniques on focusing on one point at a time?

Alex: Very astute on your part. If I had the time to do half hour videos then I could address how to focus on one point at a time because I don’t have a simple answer.

But you are right; a player must know how to focus on one point at a time. The most important part is to be present on the current shot and not think in the past or future. To do this, the player must know what to focus on in the present AND be able to refocus when not in the present.

I’ll work this into my new mental game program for tennis players.

Hello,I’m again Daniel .. and i want to ask you something .
SO , I play very good at training all my shots are very good , but when I finish the training i loose all my confidence and i think that i play stupid .. or i remember my stupid matches , so i have a stupid period but now i play really good and i have some good results , but i don’t know why i loose my confidence when i finish the training or the match actually when i play good . Please give me a reason , or something to help me. Thank You Very Much ,DANIEL
